FAQs

Tünn develops, produces, installs, and maintains barrel saunas while managing guests, bookings, payments, and access control. We offer campsites a luxurious facility without requiring any costly investment.
-
The Tünn sauna accommodates 4-6 people and has a vestibule for personal belongings. Optionally, we offer an outdoor shower that can be used for cooling down.
-
There are no costs for the campsite owner. Guests pay for their sessions via our website. Tünn reimburses all electricity costs and shares the revenue with the campsite.
-
A 380V - 3-Phase, 16A power supply is required for Tünn saunas.
-
We reimburse all electricity costs incurred by the sauna at a fixed rate per kWh. The saunas are equipped with a sub-meter that allows us to remotely monitor and manage electricity consumption accurately.
-
An optional water connection enhances the sauna experience by allowing an outdoor shower to be installed and the sauna bucket to be filled. This adds an extra element of comfort for your guests.
-
No sewer connection is required for water drainage; we use a gravel pit that absorbs the water.
-
We ask our partners to include the sauna in their daily cleaning routine to keep it hygienic and pleasant for guests. Cleaning typically involves sweeping the floor and lightly wiping down the wooden benches.
-
Tünn handles all technical maintenance and repairs. Problems can be reported directly to our support team.
-
Each sauna is equipped with a digital lock and unique access codes for each booking. The sauna can always be opened from the inside, so no one can lock themselves in.
-
Guests can independently book a time slot via our website. After booking, they receive a unique access code via SMS and email, allowing them to access the sauna during their session.
-
Payments for the sauna can be made online through our website using a major payment provider, offering a variety of payment options, including Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDeal, Bancontact, and GiroPay. Cash payments are not accepted.
-
The sauna heater is automatically controlled. For each booked period, the heater preheats the sauna so that it is at the right temperature upon the guest's arrival. After the booked period ends, the heater automatically turns off, ready for the next booking.
-
Tünn does not have a specific preference for whether swimwear is mandatory in the sauna. We leave this decision to our partners or the guests themselves. However, we do request that all guests use a towel to sit on in the sauna.
